A full beacon node implementation and Ethereum validator client written in Go.
Prysm is an Ethereum consensus client and validator client written in Go. It can run as a beacon node to follow the consensus layer, sync beacon chain data, serve validator duties, and connect to an execution client as part of a complete Ethereum node setup. Operators use Prysm when they want a mature path for solo staking, validator infrastructure, or testnet practice, but production use requires careful key management, slashing protection, uptime planning, timely software updates, and monitoring. Prysm should also be evaluated alongside Lighthouse, Teku, and Nimbus so validator operators understand tradeoffs around client diversity, resource use, release cadence, documentation, and operational familiarity.
